Here is an unusual record of aquiring a Residential Opal Mining Lease and resurrecting the abandoned bush camp.
The climate is not for everyone with the summer months extremely hot. The other 9 months of the year are fine. The town of Lightning Ridge is well serviced and is popular with the Nomads during the winter months.
An ambitious DIY project with very limited funds. Most materials sourced by Brisbane Gumtree combined with generous donations from friends.
